Henna Color
- At Making Faces Salon we use 100 % organic henna which contains HENNA! There are no added chemicals, no peroxide, no salts, no amonia, no metallics, no pesticides and no PPD!
- If you have used a chemical hair dye and been treated to chemical burns or brittle hair, henna may be your answer to a safer, healthier way to dye your hair.

- We give you henna color solution for Various Types of Hair Henna, a natural product, acts differently from synthetic dyes. It coats the hair with a transparent red coloring. As you repeatedly apply henna on the hair, the color gets deeper. An advantage of using henna is that it is natural. It conditions and colors your hair in a natural and safe manner.
Sudanese Style
- Sift henna using a tea strainer, to get a fine, powder, and to discard all the sticks and debris.
- Boil water and at the boiling point add loose tea leaves, or Lipton will work as well, the darker the tea the better.
- When the tea leaves have settled, discard tea and use only the water.
- Mix henna into a bowl and the tea water with 9 drops (depending on how much henna powder is used) of any good oil.
- Mix until the henna paste is fine, thin, and smooth, mix consistently in one direction like cake batter.
- Put the bowl into the refrigerator to get the henna paste into a thicker consistency and to let the oil and tea water settle.
- 1 hour or less, take the henna out and put the mixture into your henna tube.
- Before applying the henna to the skin put good oil onto the skin where the henna will be placed.
- When the henna is dry, reapply . For the Sudanese the longer the better.
- Do not wash the henna off of the skin, rather scrape off the flakes, try sleeping in it.
United Arab Emerites Style
- Sift henna using a tea strainer, to get a fine, powder, and to discard all the sticks and debris.
- Dry limes, cut the limes into slices and this may take a couple of days, then boil the dried limes unit the color of water turns red.
- When the water has turned red add loose leaf tea like the above recipes.
- When the tea leaves have settled, discard tea and use only the water.
- Mix henna into a bowl and the tea water with 9 drops (pending on how much henna powder is used) of Mahlabiyah oil.
- Mix until the henna paste is fine, thin, and smooth, mix consistently in one direction like cake batter.
- Put the bowl into the refrigerator to get the henna paste into a thicker consistency and to let the oil and tea water settle.
- 1 hour or less, take the henna out and put the mixture into your henna tube.
Indian Style
- Sift henna using a tea strainer, to get a fine, powder, and to discard all the sticks and debris.
- Use warm water and add lime juice.
- Mix henna into a bowl and the lime water with 9 drops (depending on how much henna powder is used) of Mahlabiyah oil.
- Mix until the henna paste is fine, thin, and smooth, mix consistently in one direction like cake batter.
- Put the bowl into the refrigerator to get the henna paste into a thicker consistency and to let the oil settle.
- 1 hour or less, take the henna out and put the mixture into your henna tube.
- When your henna is on the skin, when you are complete with your design, add water and sugar and dip a cotton ball or Q-Tip and dab the sugar water onto the pattern until the pattern is dry
- When the henna is dry, reapply the design or leave it only on for 1 coat.
- Do not wash the henna off of the skin, rather scrape off the flakes, try sleeping in it.
Eyelash Extensions

FACTS :
- This procedure is no less damaging than applying mascara.
- On the average, depending upon how you care for them, lash extensions could last 6-8 weeks.
- Each procedure can take anywhere from 45 minutes for a touch-up to a little more than an hour for a new set.
- The synthetic lashes are applied to your natural eyelashes lash by lash with an odorless special bonding agent about 1mm from the root of each lash. Neither the glue nor the synthetic lash will ever come in contact with your skin.
- We recommend coming in for a touch-up every two weeks to maintain fullness. A lot of our clients come in weekly.
- Remember, your natural lashes replenish every day. We carry non-prescription products to enhance and keep your natural lashes healthy.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:
Although this procedure is no less damaging to applying mascara, we urge you check with your doctor first for allergies, especially if you have a history of eye disease.
- Contact lenses must be removed prior to procedure.
- Do NOT put on mascara. Removal takes a lot of time.
- Remove all eye makeup and clean your lashes with a mild, oil-free cleanser.
Do NOT use oil-based make up removers. - Do NOT curl your lashes.
- We suggest bringing a personal music player. This is a relaxing, sleep inducing beauty treatment. Talking should be kept to a minimum as this procedure requires optimum precision. Relaxed facial muscles ensure maximum results at minimal time.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO AFTER YOU LASH APPOINTMENT:
Now that we have given you an amazing set of eyelash extensions, it is up to you to maintain them. Following are maintenance guidelines to help keep them looking amazing longer.
- Do not use oil-based products, eyelash curlers, perm or tint the lash extensions. These will break the bond.
- Avoid getting your new lashes wet for the first 24 hours after application
- Gently remove eye makeup with oil-free cleansers.
- Mascara will dissolve the adhesive but if you simply must use mascara for a special occasion and such, use only water-based mascara.
- Avoid extreme heat, swimming, steam rooms and hot saunas for the next 48 hours.
- Do not attempt to remove your lash extensions yourself. Let them fall away by themselves or come and let us professionally remove them with a special remover.
- Avoid rubbing your eyes and do not attempt to pull off loose extension lashes.
- After you shower, gently pat your lashes dry with tissue and use an eyelash comb to groom any stray lashes, carefully and gently only when needed.
